As part of a series of pop-up talks at this year’s London Craft Beer Festival, Healthy Hospo UK Champion James Beeson will be speaking about how healthier, happier staff are the key to a more profitable bar business.
In the hospitality industry, where the turnover and productivity of staff are key drivers of overall success, bartender health and wellness should be high on the agenda.
Unfortunately, as we well know, hospitality staff are often notoriously bad at looking after themselves and their own health. Hence, the onus often falls on businesses themselves to provide support for their employees. However, this doesn’t necessarily have to be seen as a burden.
As part of Foodism Beer Club’s ‘Tasting Table’ series of talks taking place at next month’s London Craft Beer Festival (LCBF), Healthy Hospo UK Champion James Beeson will explore how, by seeing employees as their biggest asset and the key to the success or failure of their business, hospitality owners can create a healthier and happier culture and ultimately drive greater profits.
The talk will help business owners to identify the issues in their organisation that are affected by staff wellbeing and wellness, understand the implications these issues have for profitability and sustainability, provide practical steps on creating a healthier working environment, and demonstrate how healthier staff are better for business.

It’s great to have them at LCBF and Im sure they’ll provoke some timely discussions.”
Healthy Hospo UK Champion James Beeson added: “I’m really excited to be bringing Healthy Hospo to this year’s London Craft Beer Festival. Other talks taking place as part of the festival include topics such as breaking into the beer industry as a woman, the use of CBD in beer and the future of spontaneous fermentation in the UK.
The talks are being curated by Foodism, London’s largest food and drink magazine, and will take place at the trade session of LCBF on Friday 9 August, between 11:30 – 16:30. Foodism Beer Editor Tom Powell expressed his delight at having Healthy Hospo involved.
